weekly update #8 - 21.10.16

hello! i've had heaps of trouble lately uploading photos to my computer so some of the photos in this post are "inspo" photos i have saved to my desktop during my internet travels ;) i would love to find a singer sewing machine table so i can paint it white like the one above, i'm sure i the universe will pop one in my path some day. i love the white on white on white in the above pic too, so pretty.

this week
the most exciting thing ever finally happened this week, after a year i have finally got new light fittings in my living area!! these are replacing the horrid track lighting as i mentioned a couple of week ago. i have got a couple of photos i can share but they are taking on my phone so apologies for the quality...

in other exciting news, this week i have accepted an offer to study floristry at wintec next year :) i'm so excited!! i'm obsessed with flowers and so i thought it was about time i do something about it. it will be a bit of a shock to the system going back to studying after all this time but i'm relishing the thought of being a mature student, after all i am nothing if not mature ;) to make things even more dreamy, the classes are based at the hamilton gardens! imagine going outside to eat your sammies here everyday at lunch time...

what i'm making
i've made a couple of things this week, a name and birthdate embroidery for the newest wee poppet in my life...i've gift wrapped it without taking a photo but below is a photo during. i made this cushion on commission, the letters are the initials of the family it is being gifted to. the candle stick is a make over project i did last week, i don't have a photo but before it was brown and gold crackle paint - ugh. i've used newtons chalk paint in white and grey mist to give it a fresh new look (again apologies for the photo quality - phone pics)...

another inspo photo...lots of lovely goodness in one pic...

on a end note...i discovered an awesome blog this week victoria elizabeth barnes, its her diary of the restoration of her 1890 victorian house, the best thing about the blog is that she is hilarious! my fave posts are about her craigs list finds, and i just adore the general running thread of how her long suffering husband gives into her whims, especially when he has to help her collect giant pieces of furniture and mirrors. i love it!

thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a lovely weekend :) xxx
